i realised sbs camp was very hierachical. then i realised in fact a lot of things are very hierachical. and as a result, stress develops. which i think is quite silly especially for a camp, since a camp is supposed to be fun-filled and then you let such stuff affect your mood. and i think hierachy is a result of the competitiveness in the current society as well. without it, stress levels would probably drop ten-fold. within friends, there is rarely any form of hierachy, none even, i dare say. which i feel is why we are possible to be at complete ease with one another and simply have all the fun we wanna have. man is silly. the things we subject ourselves to. and yet we consider ourselves the highest being. perhaps we've been overestimating ourselves. seriously, you'll never know if the other animals are laughing at what we are doing. lol. i always suspect they are. haha. i sound mad. as always. lol. :) -ME- spoke at 1:40 AM

but don't worry! no spoilers will be posted :)) i'm a nice person and i know there are people who haven't read the book! lol. anyway the book's good!!! and come to think of it, i would prefer that an 8th book not be written. i find an 8th book would somehow remove the "magic" that this book creates. however, this is Rowling we're talking bout so you never know! all the same, if there's no 8th book, it doesn't really matter to me and i'll just bask in the magic of book 7 but if there is, i'll just be happy that the magic hasn't ended! haha i've been living in pottyland (aka Hogwarts?) for a month or so! reread books 5 and 6, then reread books 1 to 4 after si ying helped me to buy them, then rereread books 5 and 6 lol. and finally, book 7 on saturday up till yesterday. and i love the entire journey! :D i so wanna go to Hogwarts!!! ahh!!!! lol. pottermania man. tsk. :) -ME- spoke at 12:43 PM shit shit SHIT!!!! i read so many spoilers!!!! this time from sock's blog heh. tada!     if you noticed, one of the amazing race stops is at Tampines! (my best home! lol) haha was really tempted to go home from there then =x oops! anyways. hmm that day after talking to stupid shit and after we talked about stupid shit, i realised i'm one who can't stand attention seekers, even if they have a reason for it, and unless i am their friend (though i don't see how i can stand being a friend if i can't stand that behaviour in the first place =x) this is bad. i realised i have a very low tolerance level for many types of behaviour. bad, very bad. it struck me that perhaps, i should change. but then again, i thought, if i were to change, would it still be me? excuses perhaps. i don't know. i'm one who don't like to give one something that he or she desperately seeks for (not talking bout material things here), unless he or she is my friend or family member, and unless his or her plight calls for it. and for that reason, i hate to boost people's (guys' especially oops) egos. and i think these are reasons why i'm always bad in social situations. very bad!! but i really can't help myself lar. shucks. aye will my dream never come true?! =x *touchwood!!* yucks i feel so selfish =x -ME- spoke at 2:04 PM
in the sense that the smart end up making more money using their brains and their money, thus ending up rich. these rich people then procreate, hence producing people who inherited their smart genes. and these people with smart genes use their brains to make more more money. and so and so forth, you get the drift. of course this is pretty much a generalisation and there are exceptions but i find that this trend is quite common. just look at the number of rich kids in top JCs and secondary schools. even in uni, rich kids are aplenty. and so many scholarship holders are plain rich. which makes it irritating. i feel that there should be a maximum income level for scholarship applicants as offering scholarships to rich kids (who you may argue, deserve the award due to meritocracy) means depriving the lower income group people chances of furthering their studies. they may not be as talented as the former group or they may be, just that they were not given the same resources earlier in their lives to compete fairly with their counterparts. or if they are less talented than them, i'm sure given the scholarship and thus better education, they will be able to make it as the others do. and very often, it is because of their financial situation that causes them to be at a disadvantage as compared to their more well-to-do peers. just look at the alternative that rich kids have if they do not do well. many of them simply further their studies in other countries since their financial situations allow them to do so. poorer students, on the other hand, have to settle for less here. and this ends up in a vicious cycle of how the rich gets richer while the poor remains stuck in their income group, and this is also one of the factors that contribute to the worsening of the income gap, i believe. that's also why i believe that there will never ever be equity and thus world peace. there will always be people who are unsatisfied and treated with unjust, thus resulting in certain groups preventing peace from being attained. it's sad eh. but i guess one thing that can be done is to set a maximum family income level for scholarship applicants, or perhaps lower the amount given to the rich and smart people, so that more people from other income groups can afford to study too. hmm. -ME- spoke at 1:03 PM hello! heh just got my teeny weeny pay for tuition! but i realised i always end up teaching wayy past the time i paid. and i'm already underpaid apparently tsk. oh and their dog licked the side of my mouth on the first lesson! yuck!! it almost kissed me!!! thankfully i turned away in time lol. alright alright i shall not complain. at least i managed to find a tuition assignment and it's actually not-bad-paying just that i'm underpaid cuz i'm teaching 2 at the same time lol. right. enough bout that. i wanna complain bout something. STUPID ANTS! downright stupid! why do they like to crawl around the PLAIN water at home?! so stupid! not like they can pick up any food from the cups and jugs. even if they do smell sweet stuff, they can't get it!! can't they just get that into their stupid heads?! by crawling around, they just end up getting killed when they fall into the water or worse still, crawl straight into the water. stupid stupid irritating ants. grr. there were 2 in my cup at first. after getting rid of them, the next time i looked, there were FOUR fricking ants! what's wrong with them!! grr! GRRRR!!! RAH! rah. okk enough. had yet another fright night yesterday. it was actually rather scary if not for the fact that i had a very good partner and that we know everyone acting and also, that we were waiting and playing just outside the house before that so there wasn't any build-up of atmosphere. but without all those, it was already quite freaky so you can just imagine. madness they even made us take photo with the 'ghost' and after that make us find that polaroid in the 'dark room'!!
